Clifford C. Bizek

Native of Kansas, graduated from Kansas State University in 1954. I joined the USAF Aviation Cadet Program in 1955 at Lackland AFB, Texas. My primary flight training was performed at Spence Field (Polecat 47 - T-34 & T-28). Basic flight training was flown at Williams AFB, Arizona and Laughlin AFB, Texas. I was then assigned to Moody AFB, Georgia for all-weather school and F-94C training. Next, I was assigned to Newcastle Airport, Delaware with the 97th FIS flying F-94Cs. This was followed with an assignment to Hamilton AFB, California (1958) with the 84th FIS flying F-89Js. Finally I was assigned to Goose AFB, Labrador (1959) to fly F-89Js with the 59th FIS.

I resigned from the USAF in 1960 to attend Wichita State University to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. I also joined the Kansas National Guard flying F-86Ls and F-100Cs and F-100Fs. During this time I attended Squadron Officers School at Maxwell AFB, Alabama and the Fighter Weapons Instructor school at Nellis AFB, Nevada F-100).

I graduated from Wichita State University with a mechanical engineering degree and joined Sunray PX Oil Company working as a petroleum engineer.

I joined American Airlines in 1966 and transferred to the Illinois ANG (F-84F). With AA I flew the BAC 111, B727, B707, DC10, B757, and B767 out of Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Miami. I am presently living in Dallas with Joy (significant other), farming in Kansas, and playing in Florida.
