Sept '62 - May '65 stayed on active duty (USAF)
Regular commission- C-124s based out of McChord AFB,
Tocomo, WN.
May '65 released from USAF (requested) back to Minn.
May '65 - Jan '66 Corporate pilot - Upjohn Co.
Kalamazoo, MI.
Feb '66 Started training w/American Airlines - Chicago
Lockheed Electric training. Then 727, 707, 747,
DC-10, and DC-9s. Was a Capt on DC-9s and DC-10s
before retirement. Flew out of the bases of Chicago
'66 -'72 San Diego '72 -'79. '79 - retirement LAX.
Flew LA to Honolulu last few years. Retired 3/30/1994
from LAX.
Three daughters 1962 Heidi 1964 Robin 1966 Amy.
All are married w/grandkids - 6 boys and 2 girls. The
oldest is 13 years. Same wife for 44 years.
I still have a motorcycle and motor home in retirement
- my health remains good - I've had a blessed life!
